Dietetic the Spanish Society of and Sciences of Alimentación (S.E.D.C.A.) are an Association without spirit lucrative, trained by professionals and people interested in Sciences of the Feeding and the Nutrition. Like Association, the main characteristic of the S.E.D.C.A. is the multidisciplinaridad, assuming like essential the contributions that, in the different fields, the different professionals realize who in them work: phamacists, doctors, veterinarians, chemicals, biologists, graduated in infirmary, dietistas, etc. The sanitary vision and of Public Health is one const before in all our activities. Also, and from its constitution, the Spanish Society of Dietetic has recognized like own tasks the formation continued of its partners - as much at theoretical level as practitioner - and the extension of the knowledge of these professionals the population, often barely informed. As a result of the previous thing, the S.E.D.C.A. in all activities offers global visions of the different problems and nourishing and nutritional questions. The study and investigation in subjects of Ambient Consumption and Means are, thus, a logical consequence of our trajectory. At the moment, the S.E.D.C.A. groups to more than 500 partners of different origins scientific, been becoming, mainly, in the zone center of the Peninsula. Also, also partners of Catalonia, Euskadi are represented, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla-Leon, Asturias, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, the Balearics and Valencian Country. The organization structure is, actually, really democratic. That is to say, any partner can propose action, activities,… e, even, if he is able of it, to be in charge with existing means of his accomplishment. At the moment, two Autonomic Coordinators in operation exist: The Canary Islands and Castilla-La Mancha. Also, one exists Coordinators of Dietistas and Técnicos de Dietética. The Society organizes itself in four Sections of Work different with the purpose of to give to capacity and representation to all the estates and professions:
- Section the Foods and their Technology
- Section Dietetic Nutrition and
- Section Education and formation of the Consumer
- Section Investigation and Teaching
Dietetic the Spanish Society of and Sciences of the Feeding, from its foundation in 1.986, have realized activities in collaboration with professionals and organizations, like the Council Superior of Scientific research (Institutes of Nutrition, of the Cold, Fermentations), University of Alcala of Madrid (Faculties of Pharmacy, University School of Infirmary), Ministry of Health and Consumption, Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Feeding, Official Schools of Veterinarians, Infirmary, etc. The Spanish Society of Dietetic is financed exclusively by own resources. They are admitted like partners: professionals of the feeding and the nourishing industry, the sanitary education, the consumption, the nutrition generally and the dietetic one. Also, the students of the referred matters can be partners, like supporting partners, and groups.
